The recently observed catastrophic fires hitting the Australian continent are unfortunately just a “brick” in the overall structure of changes taking place on our planet. Fires of the Amazon Forest, California, or summer drought in Poland are selected examples of phenomena forming a disturbing trend observed on Earth. Are we threatened by the intensification of these processes or are they transient changes that will regress after some time? There are many models describing the further course of events, but unfortunately most of them indicate the severity of the observed unfavorable trend.
